LAKE LIFE TOGETHER
About Us
Joe Scurlock and Leia Sands have been coming to Lake Wawasee every summer since they were children. Their families have been coming to the lake since 1955.
Both Joe and Leia now live in Syracuse, Indiana, full time and are committed to bringing new family-oriented experiences to the Lake Wawasee and Syracuse area.
Joe Scurlock
Joe Scurlock has been involved in real estate since 1996, building and operating companies across lending and mortgage, acquisitions, title, real estate publications, and legal services.
He has been highly active in real estate investing, purchasing, leasing, and selling distressed assets in the Florida and Oregon markets. That hands-on experience has given him a thorough understanding of the industry—from finding a property to navigating the transaction.
Joe was a principal owner of one of the nation’s largest mortgage banking firms. His companies have been involved in more than $3 billion in single-family residential sales and mortgages, and he has personally purchased and sold more than 2,000 homes.
Joe’s current project is Wawasee Events, bringing people together through events that celebrate Lake Wawasee and its community.
